Position Summary

The Placement Coordinator will support the successful placement of students across SwitchON Foundation’s skill development programs. This role involves building and maintaining industry connections, guiding students through the placement process, and ensuring smooth execution of placement activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, student-focused, and skilled in

coordinating with both employers and learners.

Key Responsibilities

● Employer Engagement & Corporate Relations

- Assist in developing and maintaining partnerships with companies for student placements.

- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, placement tie-ups, and industry interactions.

- Support employer communication, data sharing, and follow-ups for hiring.

● Student Placement, Counselling & Career Support

- Provide pre-placement and post-placement counseling to students, ensuring clarity about opportunities and course roadmaps.

- Guide students with resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills.

- Track student progress and maintain placement-related databases.

- Support students in resolving queries related to placements and employment.

● Market Research & Planning

- Conduct basic market research to identify emerging job opportunities.

- Share inputs on employer expectations to improve student readiness.

● Operational & Administrative Support

- Ensure placement processes are streamlined and documented.

- Assist in generating placement reports and records.

- Provide support to senior placement staff as required.

Qualifications

● Mandatory

- Experience in handling student placement activities.

- Prior experience in dealing with students, preferably in skilling/educational programs.

● Education

- Graduate in any discipline.

● Language

- Proficiency in Hindi and English (Bengali preferred).

● Other Requirements

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in placement handling/recruitment coordination. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to guide and motivate students effectively.

- Willingness to travel occasionally for placement-related activities.

- Females are preferred for this role.

Compensation

● Salary: Up to ₹20,000 per month (Fixed).

● Additional Benefits: Variable Pay + Commitment Bonus.

● Reimbursements: Official travel, stay, and logistics as per organizational policy.

Reporting To

● Senior Placement Manager, Kolkata.

Travel Requirements

● Moderate travel within and outside Kolkata for placement-related activities.
