The Role


Civis is looking for an Analyst to join the organisation and drive large scale citizen engagement initiatives, which impact lakhs of citizens.

These initiatives range from creating a participative framework for citizens’ engagement within municipalities, to understanding citizen’s priorities with respect to urban infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with political and administrative decision makers to advocate for and implement reforms for citizen’s engagement.
  • Research gaps in governance and publish research reports to substantiate the need for reform.
  • Analyze data from engagement initiatives and prepare reports, research papers, press releases or case studies from the findings.
  • Liaise with project partners and ensure efficient reporting of project outcomes.
  • Identify and build relationships with key government, media and non-profit stakeholders. 
  • Convene dialogues, events and conferences that advocate for civic engagement. 
  • Play an active role in building business opportunities for the organisation.
  • Generate donor reports that illustrate the organization’s impact.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences and events.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent data acquisition, analysis and visualization skills. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior report writing and research experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidates with degrees from institutions of repute in relevant fields (economics, public policy, urban studies, humanities and the social sciences) would be preferred.


Position: Entry level role.
