Job Description

Applications are invited for the full-time position of Program Officer - Research to be based in our office in Delhi. The Program Officer – Research will be primarily responsible for conducting the research study and developing case studies under the NCPEDP–Bajaj FinServ Scholarship Program.

Job Responsibilities

Research Study Design and Implementation

Research study 2022-25 (will be ongoing with the new research study)

• Coordinate with the advocacy team to disseminate the study among policymakers and key stakeholders to drive advocacy initiatives of the first research study done on Status of higher education of students with disability in India: End Line Report

Research study 2025-27

• Develop research frameworks, methodologies, and tools (questionnaires, interview guides, data templates) aligned with the study objectives.
• Conduct literature reviews and field studies to build evidence and understand ground realities of the study undertaken
• Coordinating data collection from students, universities, enabling units, and relevant stakeholders via surveys, interviews, and focus groups as required for research
• Analysequalitative and quantitative data to generate insights related to research and study and prepare comprehensive research study reports
• Support publication, design, and distribution of research outputs in collaboration with the communications team.
• Coordinate with the advocacy team to disseminate the study among policymakers and key stakeholders to drive advocacy initiatives

Case Study Development (20 case studies to be developed)

• Identify and document case studies of scholars (ensure diversity and representativeness across regions, gender wise, disability types, and academic disciplines)
• Conduct interviews, compile narratives, and create impactful case study reports highlighting success stories and lessons learned.
• Compile, design and prepare proper booklet to be shared further

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree / Ph.D. / research specialization in inclusion, education, or disability studies will be given preference.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in doing research, analysing data, monitoring projects, or working on policy issues, preferably in the development or education field.
• Strong research design, data collection, and analytical skills (qualitative and/or quantitative).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or regional languages desirable.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including universities, students, and government departments.
• Proficiency in research documentation and report compilation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field visits, monitoring, and stakeholder consultations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
