About Vasundhara:

Vasundhara is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation focused on natural  resource governance and sustainable forest-based livelihoods. We mainly engage in research and  policy analysis, capacity building, and community-based forest management systems, particularly  concerning the Forest Rights Act, 2006. 

Role Overview:

The Program Officer (Training Coordinator) will develop and deliver training  programs to enhance stakeholders' capacity to implement the Forest Rights Act, PESA, and forest  governance frameworks effectively. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Design training modules and manuals on forest rights and governance. 
  • Conduct workshops and capacity-building sessions for community leaders, government  officials, and NGO partners. 
  • Focus on gender equity in all training materials 
  • Ensure Gender equality in knowledge sharing and learning 
  • Collaborate with local and national stakeholders for knowledge exchange and resource  mobilization. 
  • Document and report training outcomes and impacts. 

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Anthropology, Rural Development, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, including capacity-building programs. 
  • Familiarity with FRA, PESA, and resource governance systems. 
  • Proficiency in English, Hindi and Odia. 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills. 
  • Ability to develop training materials and adapt to diverse audiences. 
  • Effective stakeholder engagement. 
  • Research and documentation skills. 
  • Ability to coordinate with government departments 

Duration: Initial contract for 1 year with 6 months (probation), renewable based on performance.

Reporting: Team Leader, Tenure and Tenurial Security 

Remuneration: Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 55,000 pm based on experience and suitability along with other  benefits according to the organization norm.
