The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity related issues.

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for coordination of the project work, and support in implementation of various activities and drafting of management plan of the mining sites. The candidate should also handle the other projects where the subject expertise is required.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Desirable Qualification(s)

• Four Years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Life Sciences)/ Agricultural/ Forestry Sciences from recognized institute/ University

                                     OR

• Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Life Sciences)/ Agricultural Sciences from recognized institute/ University

Desirable Qualification(s)

• Demonstrated experience/aptitude in a) Wildlife, ecology research, Research Experience in field techniques for sampling and analysis of water and air parameters. Knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., CPCB, MoEFCC standards). Knowledge of ambient air sampling techniques (PM2.5, PM10, NOx, SOx), use of dust samplers, and interpretation of AQI. Familiarity with Air and Water quality sampling instruments

Salary

37,000 + HRA (NET or GATE qualified candidates or selection process through national level examinations) 30,000 + HRA (For non-NET or non-GATE qualified candidates)
