Established in 1982, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training program, academic courses and advisory in wildlife research and management. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity related issues.

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for coordination of the project work, and support in implementation of various activities. The candidate should also handle the other projects where the subject expertise is required.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Desirable Qualification(s)

• Four Years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Life Sciences)/ Agricultural/ Forestry Sciences from recognized institute/ University AND Two years of experience (after obtaining four year degree) in R&D in Industrial or Science & Technological Institutions or Scientific activities and services

                             OR

• Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Life Sciences)/ Agricultural Sciences from recognized institute/ University and Two years of experience (after obtaining Master’s degree) in R&D in Industrials or Science & Technology Institutions or Scientific activities and Services.

Desirable Qualification(s)

• Research Experience in R&D in Industrials or Science & Technology Institutions or Scientific activities and Services, excellent writing skills and strength in science communication and publications on wildlife research would be desirable.

Salary

₹ 42,000 + HRA (NET or GATE qualified candidates or selection process through national level examinations) ₹ 33,000 + HRA (For non-NET or non-GATE qualified candidates)
