Job Description

PxD, through its technical partner in India – Behaviour Change Advisory Services -  is looking for a skilled Project Consultant to support the work of a team embedded within a government ministry driving digital agricultural transformation for millions of smallholder farmers across the country.

This consultancy requires an understanding of digital technology adoption, scaling through government and project implementation experience, ideally in agriculture.

We anticipate this consultancy to last for a period of 9 months; with full engagement. The consultant will be based at the team’s office premises in New Delhi.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the team leadership and other colleagues in scoping, designing, piloting and scaling new digital agriculture projects
• Interface between our tech, research, and program teams to design and iterate on products, including spending time with frontline staff and farmers in the field to ensure that products are closely aligned to user needs
• Responsible for project and meeting documentation, creation of communication materials, and standard operating procedures
• Assist in managing partner relations and working with external stakeholders for implementation of programme operations
• Contribute to general management tasks important for the team’s functioning and success

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Entrepreneurial, data-driven, and motivated to build and refine operational and programmatic processes
• Interest and/or experience in leveraging technology for impact, prior experience with AI-powered solutions preferred
• Humble, curious, and user-oriented, with enthusiasm to spend time in the field designing with and for our users
• Experience in a multi-faceted role, with the ability to balance and prioritize across multiple projects and stakeholders
• Strong writing and oral communication skills in English, with attention to detail and advanced writing and presentation skills
• Managing day-to-day operations within a Government setting
• Willingness to travel to project sites in India
• Some understanding of PxD’s approach to research and behavioral economics
