Project Coordinator – Patient Provider Support Agency (PPSA)/ Private sector , Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai

The City TB Office, Mumbai is running one of India’s largest private sector engagement for TB Control. The Patient Provider Support Agency aims to ensure that all TB patients in the private sector have access to high quality diagnostics and free drugs. Additionally, the PPSA ensure that all patient receive adherence support during the duration of their treatment. This intervention spans across 24 urban wards of Mumbai .As a multi-layer ,dynamic , effective unique innovation ,it has been recognized both nationally and internationally for the impact it has created within the private sector and health systems.

 PATH is looking to place a Program Coordinator at the city TB Office, Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for providing programmatic and coordination support  for the smooth functioning of PPSA.. This includes providing assistance to the City TB Officer and the District Tuberculosis Officer ( STOs in overseeing the implementation of PPSA activities , support to the M&E officer for  capacity building of NGO partners as well program budget management.

 Key responsibilities:

1.       To work under the guidance of the City TB Officer and the PPSA Nodal DTO to facilitate the implementation of PPSA activities

2.       To facilitate and support flow of information (related to private sector engagement) from CTO to  DTOs ,Public –Private Mix (PPM) Coordinators and PPSA NGO

3.       To identify the technical capacity building needs of NGO partners and PPM-Coordinators, staff and establish mechanisms for any external technical support, in consultation with PATH’s resource persons.

4.       To support the M&E manager at the region in developing systemic processes and metrics for programme monitoring

5.       To manage the contracts and MoU with PPSA NGO’s and other organizations implementing PPM activities

6.       To streamline the training and sensitization activities of the PPIA so that they are in tandem with the Standards of TB Care for India (STCI)

7.       To facilitate regular interaction of the PPSA NGOs with the District TB Officers and PPM-C so that areas of coordination can be discussed and developed

8.       To assist City TB Office in reviewing the activities / programmatic and financial performance of the PPSA/ NGO schemes through monthly operational dashboards and periodical reports

9.       To seek inputs from PATH’s Technical team to improve program operations

10.   To assist CTO in preparing Program Implementation Plan (PIP) and coordinate with State TB Office and NHM

11.   To support CTO in reviewing and advising on budgeted annual action plans 

Education and experience:

1.       Post Graduate Degree   in Public Health, Social Work ,Program Management

2.       Prior work experience of 3-5 years in Public Health projects with government interfacing

3.       Ability to engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, NGOs and external agencies and funders

4.       Familiarity with experience using M&E data in program management

5.       Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Marathi  

6.       Willingness to be based in City TB office and travel extensively to program sites in the city

7.       Strong   computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office , software, and data analytics

8.       Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

9.       Desirable: Understanding of the Revised National TB control program and private health sector functioning are preferable
