About the Organization:

The Coalition for Food and Nutrition Security (CFNS) has a vision to achieve Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security for all. The Coalition’s objective is to catalyze actions and influence thinking of policy makers, development partners and political leaders on key food and nutrition indicators in line with WHA targets and UNSDG goals.

About the Project:

Strengthen advocacy around nutrition and establish platforms for sustained dialogue around nutrition by generating awareness, debates and discussion among policy makers on the issue of child undernutrition and developing sustainable solutions. Another aim is to establish the State Nutrition Resource Centre at the Centre for SDGs, and platforms for multi-sectoral stakeholders to come together for dialogue around nutrition at state and district levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Multi Sectoral District Plans
  • Responsible for leading the project activities in 2 districts of Assam
  • Develop close working relationship with the Government officials and network with members and other stakeholders at the state level
  • Plan and establish the State Nutrition Research Center
  • Prepare of CFNS work-plans, budgets and concept papers
  • Develop the ToR and Results Framework
  • Prepare District Project Reports
  • Ensure high quality & up-to-date documentation of CFNS activities and achievements (meeting minutes, work plan, progress report, financial activities, updated list of members, steering committee and action group members).
  • Coordinate with the National Officer
  • Travel to districts as and when required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Development Studies
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in health/nutrition sector
  • Experience of working in Assam
  • Excellent organizational, planning and coordination skills
  • Demonstrative ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Hindi
  • Working Knowledge in Knowing Assamese will be an added advantage
  • Excellent Computer and Internet skills
