Field of activity

The two projects "Energy Supply in Rural Areas" and "Solar Water Pumps" are to support the Indian Government's projects for energy-efficient, sustainable energy supply in rural areas. For the first time around 250 million people will receive electricity access and 1 million solar water pumps will be installed. By advising relevant stakeholders, providing funding and training actors at different levels, we want to support the creation of markets and the development of companies, in addition to changing / creating all the necessary state prerequisites, from laws to institutions. In the future, the development and implementation of energy concepts in federal states will be essential.

Your tasks

  • Initiation, planning, control, monitoring and completion of several projects incl. Reporting and
  • Compliance with all GIZ specifications (eg budget, results based monitoring, key figures)
  • Coordination of consulting services to partners and clients
  • Competent representation of the topics at national and international conferences
  • Extensive disciplinary and technical leadership of a team of national and international
  • Experts at different locations
  • Leading complex project groups
  • project acquisition

Your profile

  • University degree
  • Disciplinary, long-standing management experience
  • Leading complex projects, ideally in an international context
  • Very good conceptual, analytical and communication skills
  • In-depth know-how of the energy sector is essential, work experience with energy plans as well
  • rural energy development are desirable
  • Fluent oral and written English and good knowledge of German; Hindi skills are
  • helpful, but not a requirement
  • High motivation and passion for the topic of energy
