About the Organization
Founded in 1997 and registered as a public charitable trust in January 2000, SRIJAN is a grassroots implementation and support agency, committed to promoting sustainable and self-reliant models of rural development through interventions in agriculture, horticulture, natural resource management, and livestock.
Geographically spread over four states, SRIJAN works at the grassroots and collaborates with the state/central governments to help build both hard and soft infrastructure for the rural poor. It has been and continues to be in several policy-making bodies of the central government. It has a healthy portfolio of projects with an annual value of Rs. 25-30 crores and a headcount of 400 direct and indirect staff. It is supported by a range of well-known donors, such as the Axis Bank Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Azim Premji Foundation, HDFC Bank CSR, IndusInd Bank CSR, Hindustan Unilever Foundation, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Should be a team player.
- Support the NE States in strengthening their planning and HRH management practices.
- Systematic collection, documentation & compilation and analysis of information regarding human resources for health, health systems and health needs including inputs for key decision makers.
- Develop guidance notes and policy briefs on planning, programme management, Human Resources for Health for the NE States.
- Review various publicly available data and the data shared by the NE States on HRH; analyze the data and prepare reports. Conduct regular review of recruitment undertaken by The NE States and monitor vacancy.
- Monitor the status of HRH of the NE States on a regular basis and facilitate implementation of IPHS 2022 and other HRH related directives by MoHFW.
- Conduct regular field visits for monitoring and provide supportive supervision on planning, HRH and programme management.
- Appraise the Programme Implementation Plans (PIP) of the NE States and prepare discussion points for NPCC. Provide recommendations based on decisions taken during NPCC and as per NHM norms.
- Collect data from The NE States as per the requirements of the ministry and the division.
- Prepare concept notes of studies as per the annual plan; conduct the study, collect data, analyze and prepare good quality study reports.
- Provide Technical Assistance in areas related to health systems strengthening including human resources for health.
- Maintain database of all relevant documents and data related to allocated work areas.
- Analysis/review of data from HMIS and other health information sources & its use to support the States / Districts to implement rationalized deployment of human resources in health along with identifying the gaps in training and skill development.
- Work closely with the lead consultant and the senior consultant of the division.
- Undertake other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time by the Reporting Officer.
Education Qualification/Required Skills &Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in knowledge management, communication, or documentation in the development sector or related fields.
- Prior experience working with rural livelihoods programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong ability to conceptualise and create high-quality reports, presentations, and content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially EXCEL, Google Sheets, graphic design tools, and social media management.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation processes and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Rural Development, Social Sciences, Mass Communication, or related fields.
