About the Organization
Open Links Foundation (OLF) is an IT-based non-profit organization founded by Sanjay Dalmia (IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad) with a mission to strengthen the government school ecosystem and make government schools aspirational for all.
OLF aims to improve the quality of education in government schools by (a) supporting and motivating teachers (b) partnering with district administration to improve program implementation efficiency for programs like FLN, scholarship practice tests, poetry recitation etc...
The program name is Vinoba. It simplifies and saves time for teachers. It helps in easy data collection and analysis for administrators. It has Facebook like features for sharing and learning and a vibrant teacher community.
Job Description/Responsibilities
The Project Officer plays a key role in ensuring seamless program implementation at the district level, working closely with education officers, teachers, and local administrators. This role demands problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and disciplined execution, the role is instrumental in driving impact and sustaining long-term change. Engaging regularly with district and block officials to understand their needs and collaboratively design impactful solutions.
Key Deliverables for the position are as follows:
- Lead education program implementation at the district level in partnership with government officials and OLF Team.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders (District Education Officers, BEOs, Cluster Heads, DIET, and teachers).
- Train and mentor educators and administrators to enhance program adoption.
- Offer proactive support and innovative solutions using digital tools and WhatsApp groups to enhance program effectiveness.
- Identify needs and provide impactful solutions at district and block level stakeholders.
- Maximize program impact through active field engagement.
- Represent OLF at key meetings and official events.
- Support organizational growth through special initiatives as needed.
- Ensure all policies of the company are adhered to from leaves, admin, financial reporting, etc. contributing to a positive work culture.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Graduation/post-graduation in social work, international development, public policy, rural management, economics, or a relevant field.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in the education sector.
- Experience working with government administrative positions and education programs is preferred.
Key skills:
- Teamwork & Communication: Work well with teams and communicate clearly in the local language and English.
- Data & Problem-Solving: Collect and use data to understand challenges and improve the program.
- Basic Tech Skills: Use MS Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets for reporting and planning.
- Government & Partnerships: Build good relationships with local officials, teachers, and community partners.
- Program Execution: Plan, track, and improve program activities to ensure success.
