Compensation : ₹4,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 per annum (Fixed)

Language: Excellent proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.

Position Summary

SwitchON Foundation is seeking a skilled and articulate Proposal Development & Donor Engagement Executive to strengthen its resource mobilisation and partnership efforts. The role is primarily focused on high-quality proposal writing, donor communication, and institutional coordination, with opportunities to represent the organisation at forums, consultations, and partner meetings.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, structuring ideas, working closely with program teams, and engaging professionally with donors and CSR partners—without being driven by sales targets or aggressive fundraising goals. A sound understanding of development programs and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) will be important to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Writing & Documentation

- Develop clear, compelling proposals, concept notes, grant applications, and pitch decks for foundations, CSR partners, and institutional funders

- Ensure proposals are aligned with organisational strategy, program design, budgets, and MEL frameworks

- Maintain version control and documentation standards for all proposal materials

Donor & Partner Engagement Support

- Support engagement with CSR teams, corporate partners, and development agencies

- Prepare donor briefs, presentations, background notes, and follow-up communication

- Assist in scheduling and preparing for donor and partner meetings

Program Understanding & MEL Alignment

- Work closely with program, finance, and MEL teams to understand project models, outcomes, and impact metrics

- Integrate data, evidence, and learning into proposals, reports, and donor communication

- Ensure accuracy and consistency of program information across all documents

Research & Opportunity Mapping

- Research relevant funding opportunities, CSR priorities, and institutional donor landscapes

- Maintain and update databases of potential partners, proposals, and submissions

Reporting & Written Communication

- Draft donor reports, progress updates, and impact stories as per agreed timelines - Ensure clarity, quality, and professionalism in all written outputs

Representation & Coordination

- Represent SwitchON Foundation at forums, consultations, workshops, and partner interactions as required

- Coordinate closely with internal teams within the Critical Functions Department and across programs

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education

- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in English, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field

Experience

- 4–5 years of experience in proposal writing, donor communication, CSR engagement, or institutional partnerships

- Prior experience in the development or non-profit sector is strongly preferred - Exposure to CSR partnerships or institutional funding is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

- Excellent command of written and spoken English

- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills

- Ability to understand program frameworks and MEL structures

- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication - Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with deadlines - Professional, responsible, and confident in external interactions

Reporting Structure

● Reports to: Managing Director

● Works closely with: Assistant General Manager and the Critical Functions Department

Compensation & Benefits

● Annual CTC: ₹4,00,000 – ₹5,00,000

● Official travel and work-related expenses will be reimbursed as per organisational policy
