Job Description/Responsibilities

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in Sustainable Agriculture Programme

Job Profile:

• " Manage and operate fermentation instrumentation and process control systems to ensure consistent and efficient microbial cultivation.
• " Oversee the setup, sterilization, inoculation, and operation of fermentation equipment such as bioreactors and fermenters adhering to established protocols.
• " Conduct regular monitoring and maintenance of fermentation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• " Monitor critical fermentation parameters including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, pressure, agitation, and nutrient levels using advanced control systems and analytical tools.
• " Optimize microbial growth conditions to enhance yield, product quality, and overall process efficiency.
• " Collaborate with scientists and research teams to support fermentation-related activities across various projects.
• " Collect, analyze, and document routine process data.
• " Prepare detailed project reports in alignment with research timelines and deliverables.
• " Identify and report equipment malfunctions or deviations in process parameters that may affect performance or product integrity.
• " Coordinate with facility management for timely resolution of technical issues.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• 2 - 5 Years

Qualification

• M. Tech / Master-s degree in Bioprocess Engineering- Fermentation Technology- Industrial Biotechnology- or a closely related field.

Skills

• " Must have strong understanding of fermentation principles- microbiology- equipment operation- and strict adherence to good lab practices- biosafety and quality control protocols
• " Should be able to work independently and with the existing team to make sure projects are on track
• " Stay updated with the new research and development and contribute to the continuous improvement of fermentation techniques- processes- and safety practices.
• " Hands-on experience with fermentation instrumentation- bioreactor operations- and process control systems
• " Must have strong understanding of fermentation principles- microbiology- equipment operation- and strict adherence to good lab practices- biosafety and quality control protocols
• " Should be able to work independently and with the existing team to make sure projects are on track
• " Stay updated with the new research and development and contribute to the continuous improvement of fermentation techniques- processes- and safety practices.
• " Hands-on experience with fermentation instrumentation- bioreactor operations- and process control systems
• " Hands-on knowledge of Microbiology techniques (cultivation of fungi and bacteria)- fermentation and downstream processing along with troubleshooting strategies.
• " Highly motivated- solution-oriented- and a good team player
