About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Description

Vacancy for 2 Research Associate positions for the Social Audit of Land Assembly Process in Amaravati Capital Region Andhra Pradesh sanctioned to Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad Off-Campus, Telangana.

The study largely depends on the information and data to be gathered from the primary stakeholders including the land-holders and the landless chosen for the study. The project is located at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad, Telangana. TISS has long been dedicated to championing social justice, promoting gender equity, and defending the rights of marginalized communities across India. TISS provides an intellectually stimulating environment and expects high quality performance.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Preferences will be given to candidates with the following educational and experience criteria

• Graduation/Post Graduation in Management/Social Sciences/Social work
• Experience in handling both qualitative and quantitative data; data analysis and data interpretation
• Ability to facilitate large scale field study processes and skills to work with team of field investigators
• Good English and Telugu language skills
• Ability to write reports in English language
• Candidates must demonstrate willingness to travel as and when required as per the project requirements

Salary

Rs. 45,000 per month
