Job Description

The Research Associate/Assistant is expected to support research on topics/themes that are aligned with the project, for instance, statistics, impact assessment and regression analysis.

Job Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to, involvement in various aspects of the project such as:

• Data Extraction and Pre-processing
• Data Analysis (Linear, Logistic, Probit, and Poisson Regression models; matching techniques including Coarsened Exact Matching (CEM), Propensity Score Matching (PSM), and Nearest Neighbor Matching; and Instrumental Variable (IV) analysis—among others)
• Data Visualization
• Developing sampling strategy for new (upcoming) experiments
• Participating in field visits and data collection efforts (online and off-line)
• Literature review
• Along with research support, the research associate is also expected to help with certain administrative responsibilities at the centre

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A first-class master’s degree in a subject closely related to the project- Economics/ Statistics/ Public Policy/ Development Studies
• Proficient in programming languages and statistical softwares such as R, Python, SPSS, Stata, etc.
• Proficiency in SQL
