DE envisions a world where all children from under-served communities, especially girls, are prepared for a career and life. The program is bridging India’s digital divide by providing and integrating technology into underperforming, under-resourced public schools, training teachers in techno-pedagogy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methodology, and transforming classrooms into collaborative and interactive places for students to learn while preparing them for success in the 21st century global economy. Since its inception in 2004, the Program has empowered 7.25 million children with interactive STEM experiences, trained 212,585 teachers in STEM pedagogy, and transformed 32,596 schools across 35 states and union territories of the country. PROJECT OBJECTIVE The proposed intervention aims to strengthen the learning outcome of the students by training the teachers in the techno-pedagogy methodologies and supporting STEM learning inside as well as outside the classroom, inspiring students to work towards attaining higher education and pursuing a career in STEM. A well-structured program to strengthen the Government school student’s education with the following objectives: • To increase educational learning outcomes of students in STEM subjects in grades 6 to 10th from 50 government schools under DE intervention. • To build the capacity of teachers to integrate techno-pedagogy, using AIFT’s DE Program’s standardized digital content portal DE Edukit HUB (This gateway which was created by DE Program connects all the state / central portals like DIKSHA, government-developed channels along with AIF resources at present this portal caters to 14 states) for their blended approach of teaching. • Build 21st-century skills among students through STEM-based learning pathways and career awareness. • To create awareness about STEM career pathways. • Establish SILCs to impart stem-based learning in government schools. • Improve school infrastructure by providing digital infrastructure KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate with the team to initiate and streamline the program. • Conduct STEM activity-based classes at STEM Innovation and Learning Centres. • Conduct STEM activity-based workshops with HUB and Program school’s teachers. • Organize Project Share-out events and Exposure Visits at HUB and Program schools and per the MoU and available budget. • Identify and develop STEM Clubs at HUB and Program schools. • Conduct regular field visits to gauge the relevance, use, and challenges of the program. • Responsible for database management. • Reporting as per Organization standards. Prepare Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly reports. • Conduct regular meetings with the school staff, School Management Committee, and other stakeholders to gauge the effectiveness of the program and monitor the project indicators. • Ensure project implementation in all the clusters, so that Key Performance Indicators of the project are met in a timely fashion. • Build and manage relationships with principals and BEOs to enhance ownership of the program. • Identify and document case studies to share as part of the program reporting. • Ensuring adherence to minimum guarantee components in all schools of the respective Clusters. • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring timely program delivery and updating the respective stakeholders • Any other activities assigned by the Project Lead to fulfill programmatic outcomes and goals. REQUIRED KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 1. Minimum Graduation, with specialization in social entrepreneurship or communication or development management or economics or business studies preferred. 2. Around 02 years of experience in similar field. 3. Strong personal demonstrable commitment to “serve” those who are underprivileged. 4. High personal Integrity. 5. Strong PowerPoint presentation design & delivery skills. 6. Excellent English skills –written and verbal. 7. Demonstrated excellence in time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving ability. 8. Adaptability, flexibility, and openness to feedback. 9. Ability to deliver under pressure and work on tight deadlines. 10. Ability to work in fast changing environment and continuously evolving needs, 11. Strong team playing skills. 12. “Can do” attitude. 13. Ability to work independently with large volumes of data with initiative. 14. Ability to work with across teams and supervisors. 15. Ability to respond positively to feedback. 16.
