Job Description
We are seeking a Manager / Senior Manager – Impact Measurement to lead the impact measurement agenda for India and oversee Impact operations across Southeast Asia (SEA). This role is critical to ensuring high-quality measurement and reporting for our Skilling initiative, which spans multiple geographies and impacts thousands of beneficiaries annually.
The ideal candidate has business excellence or process management background, combined with the ability to manage teams and systems across regions. You will ensure MEL processes are executed accurately, on-time, and at scale — while building capacity in associates who bring deep MEL expertise.
Job Responsibilities
Lead Impact Measurement for India
- Own the end-to-end MEL agenda for India’s Skilling initiative, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable reporting.
- Partner with India program leadership to align MEL processes with strategic priorities
- Monitor program KPIs (placements, incremental outcomes, completions, employability metrics) and flag risks early.
- Ensure data pipelines (from partner institutes to national reporting) are robust and audit ready
Manage SEA Impact Operations
- Supervise and mentor associates across SEA, ensuring consistent delivery and professional growth
- Drive alignment between India and SEA MEL practices to deliver at scale
- Build capacity in Associates, instilling process discipline, data quality checks, and dash-boarding excellence.
- Coordinate with Regional Program Heads to integrate MEL findings into decision-making.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Map MEL workflows (from enrollments to placements and incremental impact studies) and implement process improvements
- Use process excellence tools to improve timeliness, accuracy, and early warning systems.
- Develop real-time dashboards (Excel/Power BI) for leadership, tracking India and SEA performance at multiple levels.
- Lead the implementation of sampling frameworks, placement validation studies, and outcome evaluations for skilling.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Represent MEL in India and SEA leadership reviews, ensuring confidence in data accuracy.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations and reports for senior leadership and external partners.
- Work closely with program teams to translate insights into operational improvements.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in business, Public Policy, Development, Statistics, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in business excellence, process management, or monitoring & evaluation.
- Experience managing teams and working across geographies.
- Exposure to the skilling, education, or employability sector is strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong process improvement toolkit
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; familiarity with SQL/Python/R a plus.
- Understanding of M&E frameworks, sampling, and outcome evaluation methodologies (can be learned on the job)
Core Competencies
- Analytical and structured problem solver.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
- Comfortable working across multi-country teams.
- Fluent in English; Hindi/other Indian languages are an advantage
