About the Organization

India Health Action Trust was instituted in 2003 as a Charitable Trust with a vision to meaningfully impact the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people by addressing health and social inequities. The Trust is working towards reducing inequities by developing comprehensive and sustainable programmes to improve population health. Since its inception, IHAT has working closely with the Government of India and state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Bihar to achieve public health goals. Our work is focused in areas of prevention and control of HIV and Tuberculosis, in achieving significant improvements in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, improved Nutrition among mothers and children, and strengthening health systems. We use program science to optimise and scale public health programs while partnering with the governments and communities.

Job Description

The Key purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise in monitoring, evaluation, and data management, ensuring that program data is complete, valid, and utilized effectively for program improvement, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making. The person shall co-ordinate with all 75 districts with the support of Specialist Public Health Expert compile and generate NAAT testing, X Ray Screening Data, Lab data and generate presumptive TB examination rate district and also at the state level. The person also come out with innovative district map showing all diagnostic sites and public health facilities using advance excel skills. The person also has to develop research protocols and also support in writing papers for the publications.

Job Responsibilities

Data Management & Reporting

• Monitoring to track data updates from districts.
• Follow up with district teams to ensure timely data submission and updates.
• Ensure data quality through validation checks and routine data quality analysis and update and validated monthly reports.
• Compile and maintain monthly datasets.
• Data update trackers with follow-up records

System Development & Capacity Building

• Standardized MIS formats and data collection tools.
• Build the capacity of district and field staff in data collection, entry, and validation.
• Build the capacity of district and field staff in data collection, entry, and validation as and when required

Data Analysis & Visualization

• Perform routine strategic analysis of diagnostic services and other key program indicators.
• Monthly analytical reports with visual insights.
• Develop GIS maps for spatial analysis of TB cases, facilities, and coverage.
• Assist in the development of knowledge management (KM) products (dashboards, factsheets, briefs).

Program Support & Collaboration

• Support internal team, State TB Cell and partners with data for planning, forecasting, and strategy adjustments as per requirement
• Assist in writing program reports, research papers, and documentation for publication/dissemination.

Documentation:

• Support team lead in developing SOPs and Research protocols

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Demography, Statistics, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Key Competencies:

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and training/facilitation skills.
• Ability to work with government health systems and diverse teams.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi.
• Experience in writing research protocols and also research publications.
