About the Organization

Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, set up by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech enterprise to undertake strategic research and innovation, addressing nationally relevant product development needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with experienced professionals at GCI–BIRAC to support activities under various programmatic schemes including AI initiatives.
• Assist the team in managing and executing projects supported under various schemes implemented by GCI–BIRAC.
• Support management of IT platforms and facilitate virtual meetings, seminars, webinars, and workshops.
• Collate and analyse data and support preparation of technical and analytical reports, documents, briefs, and presentations.
• Conduct literature reviews and compile technical information for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Assist in preparing landscaping studies, concept notes, and RFP documents.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the team as required.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the GCI– BIRAC team to ensure timely and effective delivery

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Industrial Biology, or related fields.
• Degree/Certification Course in IT or Data Science.

Experience:

• Post-qualification, at least two years of experience with national or international organizations, research institutions, or start-ups.

Desirable:

• Experience in managing or operating IT platforms.
• Experience in research paper or concept note preparation, and data analysis using statistical tools.
• Strong writing, oral communication, and presentation (PowerPoint) skills.
• Additional certifications or hands-on experience in IT or data science is an advantage.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on the closing date of the application.

Salary

The consolidated Remuneration for Technical Assistant shall be between Rs. 38,500/- to Rs. 1,05,000/- Lump Sum per month depending on the experience and qualifications.
