About Quality Council of India

Quality Council of India was set up in 1997 by the Government of India, ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI. It is an Autonomous Society registered under Societies Registration Act XXI to assure quality standards across all sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Environment, Governance

and Social Sectors. QCI aims to lead the Nationwide Quality Movement in India by involving all stakeholders to emphasise adherence to quality standards in all spheres of human activities primarily for promoting and protecting the interests of the nation and its citizens.

About Project Planning & Implementation Division (PPID)

PPID, or the young professionals’ division of QCI, is the brainchild of Mr. Adil Zainulbhai and Dr. Ravi P Singh, former Chairperson and Secretary General respectively. Recognizing the vast potential for youth engagement in government initiatives and the need for a dedicated

workforce to analyse data and drive implementation, they laid the foundation for PPID.

Under the mentorship of current chairman Mr. Jaxay Shah, PPID has achieved several

milestones. The division has spearheaded over 200 projects in collaboration with more than 50 ministries, departments, and governmental organizations. These projects span a wide range of sectors, from healthcare and education to infrastructure and technology. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead/ support end-to-end project design, planning and execution
  • Conduct research, including primary and secondary research, budget analysis, and meetings and interviews with domain experts and stakeholders.
  • Perform policy analysis to evaluate program design, implementation mechanisms, and alignment with national objectives.
  • Conduct analysis (qualitative and quantitative) using evaluation frameworks to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Demonstrate strong writing skills to produce high-quality drafts in various formats, including concept notes, memos, white papers, detailed reports, and summaries.
  • Leverage an understanding of the government ecosystem, programmes and schemes, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to contextualize findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably- Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, Management, Engineering, etc. A Master’s degree would be an advantage.
  • 1-3 for Analyst, 4-6 years of experience in strategy/management consulting, policy research, monitoring & evaluation, finance/ economics. Experience with government projects is a plus.
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills to address challenges, proactively manage risks, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, with expertise in tools such as Excel, SPSS, or similar.
  • Open to travel for fieldwork and stakeholder engagements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior government officials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data management, analysis, visualization, and report preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
