About the Organization
National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (NIPB) is the premiere research institution of the Indian Council of Agricultural research (ICAR), engaged in plant molecular biology and biotechnology research. The Biotechnology Centre, established in 1985, as part of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), was upgraded to a National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology in the year 1993, with a vision to impart the biotechnology advantage to the National Agricultural Research System (NARS). In February 2019, NRCPB was elevated to the level of National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR-NIPB).
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Biological Science/ Life Science/ Plant Biotechnology.
- Desirable qualification Research experience in plant molecular biology, plant tissue culture, plant genetic engineering or genome editing.
Salary
Rs. 42000/- (consolidated) for each position
