RythuSadhikaraSamstha (RySS), Government of Andhra Pradesh is implementing Climate Change Resilient Zero- Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) Programme covering 5 lakh farmers across all agro climatic zones in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

RySS is seeking applications from fresh dynamic young graduates from reputed Agriculture and allied Universities from across the country with a passion to learn  ZBNF by staying in a selected cluster of 5-6 villages.

Position: ZBNF Apprentice

Qualification: MSc in Botany, B.Sc/M.Sc Agriculture/Horticulture/Home-science, B.Tech/M.tech in agriculture engineering, Veterinary , Earth sciences, Environment Sciences

Candidates from Outside Andhra Pradesh

Selection for apprenticeship:

Pre immersion test: Eligible candidates to appear for an online written test on basic comprehension, arithmetic, language, logic related themes.

Immersion: Selected candidates are then sent for immersion in ZBNF villages where they stay in the village/cluster and learn, practise and understand ZBNF and programme related activities

Post immersion assessment: The candidates reporting after their immersion are assessed on the basis of their reports, behavioural events and personality.

Stipend during immersion: Candidates would be paid a living stipend of Rs.7,500 during the entire duration of immersion

The shortlisted candidates after this process would be taken for apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship:

  • Duration of apprenticeship is between 9 - 12 month
  • The apprentice would be allotted a cluster where she/he has to stay in the allotted cluster throughout the apprenticeship period.
  • The apprenticeship involves experiential training in the allotted cluster, working/interacting with farmers and cluster team members along with intense/in-depth technical training on ZBNF, training at resource organizations, exposure visits, leadership and management, personality development, soft skills and related training.
  • Apprenticeship stipend: Between Rs.18,000-24,000 per month (all inclusive)

Most importantly the apprentice has to practice zero-budget natural farming on land leased in the cluster and become a role model.
