Job Summary

‘India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning, management and monitoring. IHAT has set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide techno-managerial assistance to improve the coverage of key family planning, maternal, new-born, child health and nutrition (MNCH+A) interventions and services in the state of Uttar Pradesh with funding support from Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF) through University of Manitoba (UOM), Canada.

Specialist - Documentation will have the overall responsibility of coordinating with different teams within the Family Planning domain and documenting the processes, outcomes and results. The specialist will also be entrusted with the task of producing manuals, guidelines, training modules and other relevant material.

 

Technical support unit, Uttar Pradesh invite application for the following positions from competent and committed development professionals who are seeking meaningful and challenging assignments in- Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities  

  • S/he will review the existing literature on Family Planning and compile all relevant documents for future reference.
  • S/he will undertake field visits to study the processes and identify cases and best practices for documentation purposes.
  • S/he will coordinate with the nominated members from each sub-team within Family Planning to gather information related to workflow, processes, results and outcomes.
  • S/he will be responsible for organizing, writing and editing technical guidelines, documents, resource materials, training modules, presentations, undertaking visual documentation and other relevant materials in coordination with the concerned teams
  • S/he will maintain a comprehensive library of all relevant documents, guidelines and material
  • S/he will ensure that the documents are updated based on recent updates.
  • S/he will also ensure that the documents are well-designed with appropriate graphics

  • Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork skills and ability to foresee issues and initiate appropriate action.
  • Must be flexible and be able to work in a challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and management skills of managing team and implementation of community centric health programs.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to design documents and power points using designing tools
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork skills and advanced knowledge in computers.
  • Team Management

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of demonstrated experience of documentation and report writing in large scale development programs.
  • Experience in documentation of public health programs will be given preference.

Qualification

  • Master’s degree in public health, management, Social Science or other relevant fields

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in managing medium-large scale projects with data and knowledge of appropriate tools for managing
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork skills and ability to foresee issues and initiate appropriate action
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a challenging environment
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork and advance knowledge in computer skills
