About The Organization:
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India. Established in May 1982.WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Eco development, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library
Project : “Assess Medicinal and Aromatic Plant (MAP) species including their collection, usage, demand, markets, price trends and life cycle, focusing on SECURE Himalaya landscapes in selected areas of Himachal Pradesh for a duration of 14 months.

Remuneration: Rs. 48,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
- Assist faculty and experts in various activities of the project at field sites / HQ, coordinate work with team of researchers, conducting workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, plans, preparation of maps, presentations and other related activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D., in Wildlife Science / Botany / Forestry Environmental Science or Management or related subjects. (Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply).OR Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science /Zoology/Botany / Forestry /Environmental Science or Management or related subjects with at least four years of research experience
- Experience in the Himalayan region, working with stakeholders, and proven abilities of writing skills
