Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM):

The Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) is a doctoral level programme taught in an executive format that will provide a portfolio of skills for professionals, and faculty without doctoral degree, who want to increase their understanding of business theory, combine innovative business theory and practice, and learn to solve complex business problems through cutting edge research methodology.

The objective of this doctoral level programme is to provide a sound theoretical understanding of research methodology to solve complex issues in business.

This Executive DBA level programme is broad in scope, cutting across business disciplines to solve business problems facing senior professionals in the business world. The executive FPM focuses on providing its students with knowledge, skills, best practices, and resources to solve complex business problems facing them in today’s business environment.

Programme Overview:

The Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) offers a combination of both theoretical and applied research methodology courses. It is a three-year (15 three-day residencies), cohort program consisting of 15 taught courses, an introductory research project and the final dissertation.

Courses in this Executive Doctoral level programme will be offered in an executive format to accommodate the needs of business executives and faculty who work full time.

Students attend face-to-face classes and develop their dissertation research project under the supervision of faculty experts in their fields.

Typical Stages of Progression

• The initial focus of the program will be on key business courses followed by research methodology courses.

• The programme starts in August 2020 and ends in July 2023.

• The Indian School of Business (ISB) is committed to support its students in mastering a foundational set of skills by the time they complete the programme.

Eligibility:

An Executive FPM applicant must have:

• Minimum 8 years of professional working experience
• At least a bachelor’s degree. An MBA or business-focused master’s degree is a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in applied research and connecting theory to practice
• Because of the nature of the Executive FPM programme and the level of experience required of candidates, the GMAT or GRE is not required.

The programme office accepts only online applications. The form can be completed over several sessions. Applicants can save and review the information before final submission of the completed application.

A complete application must include:

• A scanned copy of your passport.
• A recent colour photograph
• Bachelor’s degree certificates & transcripts (for all semesters and years)
• Two recommendation letters
• Proof of income
• Application fee (To be paid as per the guidelines in the online form)

All applicants should submit two letters of recommendation that attest to their potential to be an active, involved, and successful participant in the Executive DBA equivalent programme. The recommender should be familiar with your academic or professional qualifications.
