About the Organization
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. About the Course
Master of Social Work is usually abbreviated as MSW and is basically a PG-level study program. This course has a duration of 2 years divided into four semesters. This MSW program includes all aspects related to social work, either micro or macro. Also, there are many social services fields, including schools, hospitals, and communities, where social work skills are practiced. Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to the MSW program for sessions 2022-23.
The program has two variants that include MSW General, and MSW Counselling. MSW General and the counseling-based program fee are similar INR 36,000.
Some main subjects taught in this course are Micro Enterprises, Micro Finance, Poverty Reduction, Ethics and Ideology of Social Work, Human Growth, Human Development, and so on.

Master’s of Social Work (MSW) is a research-based degree course. The IGNOU registration for the MSW program is allowed to submit till 22 September 2022. The registration or application fee for the MSW program is INR 300.

MSW Admission Online Process:
- Reach out to the official portal of any approved university.
- Enter, and register for the MSW program.
- MSW online registration shall require an email ID and mobile number for the OTP verification.
- Save username, and password to use as credentials in the future.
- Log In to the MSW admission account.
- Complete each section’s mandatory blanks.
- Upload documents in JPEG/JPG/PDF (Marksheets, Certificate, Photo, and more).
- Deposit fee, and collect MSW receipt.
MSW Admission Offline Process:
- Download/Collect MSW offline application form.
- Fill the blank application form with a blue, and black ball pen.
- All documents must be in hand to avoid mistakes.
- Enter personal, educational, and other mandatory details.
- Attach copies of originals.
- Submit the filled form with registration, and admission fees at the authorized centre.
