About Transforming India Initiative

ALC India's Transforming India Initiative provides a platform through which entrepreneurs and enterprises are equipped to discover, dream, design and develop. The two-year full time post-graduate program under NitiAayog’sAtal Innovation mission helps the youth of India to explore social entrepreneurship and fulfill their potential. We equip the seekers with the skills, mindsets and ecosystem support to establish responsible enterprises that will address the most pressing challenges facing India today.

The uniquely designed curriculum for the two years emphasizes on: Self-Transformation, Entrepreneurial Skills, Entrepreneurial Mindsets & Enterprise Excellence.

The program gives the opportunity to choose between being an Entrepreneur or an Intrapreneur. At the end of the program, the organization will help the seekers with seed funding and incubation support or placement opportunity based on the path chosen by an individual.

Andragogy:

The program is designed to be experiential and practical - with 6 travel workshops, 30 social enterprise interactions, 20 practitioners taught courses and project-based assessments. The two years include a practicum where the seekers are placed in established social enterprises and work directly with the leadership body to accelerate the enterprise.

The curriculum is delivered by industry experts and practitioners who mentor the seekers during their program journey.

Eligibility:

The minimum requirement for the Program is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Scholarships:

Applicants can apply for 100% scholarship at the time of admission.

About the Organization:

We are a Hyderabad-based social enterprise established in 2005 to work with economically marginalised communities who battle great odds to eke out fragile livelihoods. To such producers, we offer professional services that they can use to turn the odds in their favour and build livelihoods that are more certain, rewarding, and sustainable. We run various skill development and entrepreneurship program under our domain, Access Livelihood Academy.

As part of this effort, we have trained 100 rural women entrepreneurs, accelerated 4 women-led rural enterprise and 13 social enterprises, trained 219 students in agriculture intrapreneurship program, 22 individuals in social entrepreneurship and provided skill enhancement training to 11,394 individuals.

We have partnered with Tata Trust, Wildlife Conservation Trust, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA)and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for the Social Entrepreneurship Program.

We are recognised by the NITI Aayog’sAtal Innovation Mission as an established incubation centre to support entrepreneurs and incubate enterprises.
