About the Institute- 

Xavier University was established on July 6, 2013 as per the provisions of the Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013. On 11th May 2021, the Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Act 2021 was passed in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, renaming Xavier University as XIM University. The University aspires to lead the country in management education by focusing on research and innovation. Our intellectual capital rankings have been in the top five in the country consistently. In its endeavour to take up bold, necessary tasks, the New Campus of the XIM University was inaugurated on July 7, 2014. Presently it hosts eleven schools offering Doctoral, Masters and Under-graduate programmes. 

About the Program-

The two-year full-time residential Masters Program in Rural Management of School of Rural Management is the second-oldest Rural Management program in the country. It is ranked 15th in the world in the category of “Agribusiness / Food Industry Management” by Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking 2019.

It has evolved in response to the demand for professionals with the knowledge and expertise to work in rural communities and markets, in businesses as well as the development programs of government and civil society organizations.

Its unique feature is the dual competencies – In rural development and management courses. The Program is designed to create professionals having expertise to run business and development organizations, and to generate passion to use their capabilities for the betterment of rural communities. 

This unique program prepares committed and competent leaders who can analyze, reflect, plan and execute sustainable development strategies in rural areas.

Eligibility Criteria- 

• The minimum requirement for admission to the Program is a three-year Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University. 
• Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2023, can also apply. 
• Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically canceled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2023.

Application Process- 

Applicants also have to fill up the online application form separately for XIM University program at: www.xim.edu.in . Upon successfully filling the online application form and paying the relevant application fee, the applicant will be intimated by email about the acceptance of the form.

It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to XIM University.
