Sustainable Development is of critical importance today. It is also viewed as an improved paradigm shift in the way that humans and the society coexist to prevent the depletion of resources, close energy, and materials loops, and facilitate sustainable development through its implementation at the micro (enterprises and consumers), meso (economic agents integrated into symbiosis) and macro (city, regions, and governments) levels. It shows the use of technology and how innovation and technology aid to achieve Business Sustainability in the emerging economies and also impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The concept of Circular economy or sustainability is more in discussion now than at any other point in human history. The introduction of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be met by 2030 by United Nations in 2015 also attest to it. The use of potential data or algorithms to aid day to businesses and make them more sustainable or using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to aid decision making, the use of machine learning to lessen the consumption of resources and improve the efficiency of businesses is a reality for many organizations who pursue sustainability and share the vision of a cleaner planet for the future of mankind. This book will showcase these phenomenon cases, and literature in the emerging economy context where innovation and technology are extensively used to achieve the triple bottom line and aid in achieving the SDGs.
