About the Organization

Startup India is an initiative of the Government of India. The campaign was first announced by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his speech in 15 August 2015. The action plan of this initiative is focussing on three areas: Simplification and Handholding. Funding Support and Incentives.

About the Fellowship

Delhi Police announces the launch of Open Innovation Challenge 2021 to identify novel and emerging technological solutions from innovators , Startup's , MSMEs and Enterprise to tackle the problem statements identified by the agency . The shortlisted teams stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes and grants upto 6 Lakhs. The solutions developed by winners will be eligible for possible procurement by the force and mentorship by law enforcement and industry experts.

Eligibility Criteria

• Start-ups adhering the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
• Start-ups: Applicants willing to propose and develop solutions must be:
• A Startup incorporated as a private or public limited under the Companies Act, 2013 or the previous Act 1956.
• The Indian Tech start-ups, MSMEs (Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises), Companies, LLPs (Limited Liability Partnerships) registered in India under Companies Act can apply. The entity must have 51% or more shareholding with Indian citizen or person of Indian origin and should be domiciled in India. The applicant’s entity should not be a subsidiary company of any foreign corporation.
