About the Organization
Green Hub started as a collaborative initiative of North East Network (NEN) and Dusty Foot Productions (DFP). The office was first set up in December 2014 in Tezpur, in the premises of ‘Jonak’, a home built by H.N Agarwala and Padma Agarwala.
Idea is To engage and empower youth in conservation education, action, climate sustainability and social change through the visual medium; and create a digital resource bank for wildlife, environment and indigenous knowledge. Through this process - initiate sustainable, alternate and aspirational livelihoods for individuals and the community that help build local economy and enterprise, with conservation of natural resources and community wellbeing at the core of it.
About the Fellowship
Green Hub Fellowship in Tezpur Assam is a one year residential fellowship for youth across the northeast region of India to learn about environment, wildlife, conservation and climate sustainability through the medium of filmmaking. The fellowship is specially for youth from remote areas and marginalised communities, who are interested to learn, but do not have access to such training.
20 fellows are selected every year through an application process. The selection is a three stage process which includes phone interviews and face to face interviews. Applications open in December. Phone Interviews are between 20th - 28th of March. Face to face Interviews are between 7th -12th of April.
