About the Organization:

Dhriiti – The Courage Within is a NGO (social enterprise) registered under the Societies Act of 1860. Dhriiti believes that self-employment and entrepreneurship is an important tool to counter the problem of widespread unemployment and underemployment in the country. The core idea behind Dhriiti is the spirit of entrepreneurship that we want to promote, introduce and inculcate. Dhriiti works from the two ends of the continuum to spread a culture of entrepreneurship.

Seeding Grampreneur Seeders Fellowship 2020

Dhriiti champions the call to Seed Grampreneurs in India, where we create enterprise based livelihood opportunities in India’s smallest and farthest districts. This is the time to seed village based enterprises, to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, to create home-based businesses that can create products that can be taken to the world.

Dhriiti believes this campaign Seeding Grampreneurs will enable various stakeholders to join hands to build a movement to support and push Village and Township Enterprises to trigger an inclusive growth process in the country’s rural landscape.

The Opportunity:

• Unique opportunity to promote Village and Township Enterprises (VTEs) in district economies
• Engaging with Women Self Help Groups to strengthen their capacities
• Handholding Village enterprises and enabling growth

The Fellowship:

• Fellowship for Young Rural Professionals working in district economies
• States: Assam, Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland and Odisha
• SG Seeders Fellowship Certification
• Stipend for 10 selected fellows: INR 30,000/- per month per fellow (for 3 months)

The Process:

• 50 shortlisted applicants to undergo 5-day online Training of Trainers Programme and awarded Seeder Certification
• 10 selected seeders to be awarded SG Seeders Fellowship
• 10 selected seeders to mobilize, train and handhold 30 women SHG run enterprises in the district over 3 months

The Candidate:

• Citizen of India
• Age Group: 25- 40 years
• Preferred work experience: 1-4 years
• Residing in district headquarters, block HQ or villages in any of the 5 states of Assam, Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland and Odisha
• Access to internet facility and proficiency in online interactions and reporting (email, Zoom, MS Teams etc.)
• Own vehicle for conveyance
