About the Organization

The Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP) was established by UNDP in Asia and the Pacific in collaboration with UNFCCC RCC Asia-Pacific , UNICEF East Asia and the Pacific, UNICEF South Asia, YOUNGO, Movers Programme and 2030 Youth Force in response to young people across the region calling for urgent action on the climate agenda.

About the Fellowship

The Shakers Fellowship is a 3-month capacity building programme for youth climate leaders in Asia-Pacific. The fellowship will provide capacity-building on community mobilization, resources mobilization, team building, communications, LNOB and gender equality, foster collaborative networks among CSOs, and equip CSOs leaders with tools and curriculums to expand their climate advocacy.

We are looking for courageous young founders who are driving change and creating impact in local communities to be part of this first cohort of fellows. You will be supported by a network of young founders, entrepreneurship support organizations and UN agencies to further amplify your impact.

Eligibility

Those between 16-35 years old, with the following profile are invited to apply:

Any founder or a member of the leadership team of youth-led climate CSOs, communities, or networks are eligible to apply.

• To be eligible, organizations (CSO, community, or network) must have been in operation for at least one year and have a clear vision and mission, although being a registered entity is not a requirement for applications.

Youth belonging to the following groups who meet the above mentioned criteria are encouraged to apply:

• Fellows from YECAP national and regional cohorts
• Young women
• Youth from other underrepresented groups
