Applications invited for Schwarzman scholars in Masters in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University

About :

Schwarzman scholars are dynamic young leaders of impact who want to be involved in shaping the future of the world. Schwarzman scholars will be selected on basis of not only their academic aptitude and intellectual ability but also their leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to anticipate and act on emerging trends and opportunities, exemplary character and desire to understand other cultures, perspectives and positions.

About fellowship :

Schwarzman scholars is designed to prepare its graduates to build stronger relationships between China and rapidly changing world and to address the most pressing challenges of the 21st Century. It gives you a clear understanding of China’s role in global trends. Students will pursue a Masters in Global Affairs, one-year degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent.
• Age requirement- Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman scholars enrollment year.
• English language proficiency- If the native language is not english, official english proficiency test scores must be submitted with application.
• TOEFL iBT- minimum 100
• TOEFL PBT- minimum 600
• IELTS academic / indicator - minimum score 7
• Due to COVID-19, will accept exam score reports with expiry year 2019.
• There is no citizenship requirement.
• Married applicant may also apply and will have no disadvantage in application process.
• There is no minimum GPA or class rank required to apply.

Next Application Deadline:

• Application for U.S. and global applicants will be open between April15, 2020 and September 22, 2020.
• Selection will be in November 2020.
• Chinese passport applicants may apply till May 2020, and selection will be made in September 2020.

Funding  :

• The students selected will receive scholarship that includes-
• Tuition fees
• Room and Board
• Travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year
• An in country study tour
• Required course books and supplies
• A Lenovo laptop
• Health insurance
• A stipend of $4,000 for personal expenses
