About IIT Indore:

In keeping with India's vision to become a world leader in Science and Technology and to usher in a new revolution, resulting in an unprecedented economic growth, Government of India reassessed the need of technical manpower and decided to set up eight new IITs. Indian Institute of Technology Indore located in Madhya Pradesh, known as IIT Indore or IITI, is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new IITs, started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India), Government of India.

About The Course:

Water resource, environment and climate are key elements guaranteeing the sustainability of societies. The short-term course, ‘Advancements in water resources, environment and climate change’ aims to provide an academic platform for scientists, engineers, professionals and scholars to present and discuss their latest findings about water resource environment and climate change. Relevance of the proposed course will be highlighted through a series of lectures delivered by prominent industry and academia experts. The course is aimed at bringing together leading academic scientists, experts and research scholars to exchange and share quality research in the below mentioned fields.

• Hydrodynamic modelling
• Climate change and variability
• Climate change and water resource
• Machine learning in water resources
• Water pollution
• Wastewater treatment technology
• Waste to energy

Eligibility:

• The course is open mainly to teachers of Engineering colleges and polytechnics approved by AICTE. No course fee is charged for participants sponsored by AICTE approved institutions.
• Eligible participants from other governments departments and industries have to pay a course fee of Rs. 2500/- and Rs.5000/- respectively per person and they will not be provided T.A. & D.A.

Financial Assistance:

• A limited number of participants from AICTE recognized institutions will be eligible for AC III tier railway fare* via the shortest route from the place of work and free lodging and boarding during the course period. Only the candidates attending the course in full will be eligible for TA and DA.
