About the Organization:

Every idea starts with a problem. But theirs started with two – Construction and Climate Change. In the process, they solved three. They chose not to succumb to the alarm surrounding the rising sea levels owing to the rising carbon emissions and climate change, and decided to do something about it. Their very ethos at GreenJams is sustainability and they are committed to building carbon-free built environments.

GreenJams is an award-winning cleantech social enterprise de-carbonizing the built environment. Its innovation, Agrocrete™, made of crop residues which are usually burnt, and industrial by-products, is a cheaper, durable and a carbon-negative alternative to Red (Clay) Bricks and Concrete Masonry Units.

GreenJams Product Launch Idea Competition

GreenJams is launching the first of its kind carbon-negative building material, Agrocrete, and is looking for ideas to carry out the launch! The Competition is open to all Indian residents to share ideas on how GreenJams can create a successful product launch that spreads awareness about the carbon emissions of the built environment while promoting Agrocrete.

Competition Guidelines

Agrocrete is a carbon negative building material made of crop residues and industrial by-products, which can be used for walling applications. It is a cheaper, strong, durable, lighter and a carbon-negative alternative to Red Bricks and Concrete Masonry Units.

GreenJams has however discovered that an average home buyer is not aware of concepts like carbon footprint in the construction and operations of the buildings and wishes to change that through its product launch campaign.

Objective of the Campaign

  • To spread awareness about the high carbon footprint of built environment while promoting Agrocrete.

Which Promotional Medium?

  • The launch campaign should have a great visual impact and reach. Any media such as ads, social media, product installations, etc. is welcome.
  • Participants are advised to keep in mind the existing social constraints.

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to all Indian residents.

How will the entry be evaluated?

The entries shall be judged on the following factors:

  • Novelty
  • Impact Factor
  • Cost Effectiveness
  • Ease of Execution

Prizes

Apart from getting a chance to influence how the future built environment will be made, the cash prizes are as follows:

  • Winner: Rs. 10,000
  • Runner Up: Rs. 5,000

Cheques will be issued to the Winner and Runner up based on the name and sent to the address filled in the application form.
