About the Organization:

The Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation was established by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the wife of the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon, to continue the legacy of her husband’s lifelong dedication to peace.  Together, they promoted the vision of “One Family Under God,” a world wherein all people live together as one global family, transcending barriers of race, religion, nationality and culture.  The Foundation encourages all people to dedicate themselves to achieving a peaceful world by resolving to practice dialogue and cooperation, over conflict and competition. The Foundation is building a vision of peace for future generations through its various operations and initiatives.

2020 Peace Motion Graphics Competition

The world today is facing complex and interconnected challenges that block the path toward peace. When each one of us chooses dialogue and cooperation over conflict and competition, we can all move closer to a peaceful world.

To raise awareness of the various themes of peace around the world and expand the culture of peace, the Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation is holding a motion graphics video competition. Choose a peace theme from the given list below and explore the topic and achievements of those who are working to further peace in that area. Then showcase your artistic and technical skills to create a motion graphics video to share with the world what you have discovered.

Theme of the Competition:

• Climate change
• Food security
• Religious harmony
• Refugee Education
• Medical care
• Female genital mutilation
• Africa’s development

Prize:

• 1st prize $5,000
• 2nd prize $1,000 (this prize will be given to 3 semi-finalists)
• 3rd prize $300 (given to 20 entries)
• 4th prize $25 gift card (given to 30 entries)

Eligibility Criteria:

• There is no restriction on the length of the motion graphics video.
• Your work must be original.
• You are welcome to use background sound, music and voiceover.
• All audio sources must be original or you must have the right to use them in your work.
• This competition is open to everyone around the world.

Judging: Judging will take place in September and will be done in two parts – offline and online. Winners will be announced in October.
