Title: Young Champions of the Earth 2020

Organization: UN Environment Programme

Deadline: 10th April, 2020

About:

UN Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global voice on the environment. Young Champions of the Earth aims to celebrate and support individuals who have outstanding potential to create a positive environmental impact. In 2020, seven young people – selected from every global region – will be named Young Champions of the Earth.

Criteria:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 on 31 December 2020.
  • Additionally, each applicant must have at least six months of prior experience working on their environmental project.
  • Individuals who submitted applications in the 2019 cycle of the Competition are entitled to do so again in 2020. However, only one entry is allowed per person per year.

Title: Workshop on Social Network Approach to Organization/ Management Research

Organization: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA)

IIM Ahmedabad is a public business school located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. In this workshop you will learn how to apply social network approach to test various theories. ASU is a public metropolitan research university which offers 350 degree options for undergraduate’s students, as well as more than 400 graduate degree and certificate programs. The WE Empower Challenge is a global business competition for women entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs who are advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and inspiring entire communities to create the world we want by 2030.

Criteria:

  • I am a woman entrepreneur with lead decision making ability in a business or organization
  • My business/organization has been in operation for more than three years
  • I employ at least three full time staff (or full time equivalent)
  • My business/organization generates at least $100,000 USD in annual sales or revenue
  • I am proficient in spoken and written English
  • I am at least 21 years old

Title: Research Methodology Workshop on Econometric Methods for Economic and Business Research for Ph.D. Students

  • MPhil students and faculty members are not eligible for this programme.

UNESCO is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) based in Paris. The UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education honors outstanding and innovative contributions made by individuals, institutions and organizations to advance girls’ and women’s education.

Criteria:

  • Governments of UNESCO Member States via their Permanent Delegations to UNESCO and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in official partnership with UNESCO can make up to 3 nominations. Self-nominations are not accepted.
  • Individuals, institutions or organizations advancing girls’ and women’s education. Nominations must focus on an established project or programme of the candidate, which has been running for at least two years, and meets the selection criteria.
