About the Grant:

The objective behind the grant is to spread awareness about India’s public health issues, build capacity, and influence policy by bringing these issues into the mainstream narrative.

India’s public healthcare system constantly fails the medical needs of its poor and marginalized communities. It is marked by wide disparities in management, accountability, ethics, budgetary allocations, and resources. These obstacles can be attributed to fundamental constraints, such as a shortfall in infrastructure, medical facilities, trained professionals, and allied health services.

Grant Amount: INR 2,50,000

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants are expected to be working as full-time writers, print or broadcast journalists,
• documentary filmmakers with well-established record of publication, exhibition, and
• dissemination in local, regional and national media market. We will consider relaxing
• this requirement should we determine that a particular proposal meets a critical
• reporting need and is of a high standard.

Education Qualification:

• All applicants must have a college degree or its equivalent and publications in reputable newspapers or magazine or digital news portals.
