Corona Plastic Free Challenge 2021

Corona is a brand born at the beach, deeply connected with nature and appreciative of all that it has to offer. As a brand that aspires to eliminate plastic from the Oceans, we are looking for passionate entrepreneurs from across the globe to help us find new ideas or technologies that can become new standards for reducing or eliminating plastic from the consumer goods industry.

Corona took on an extensive assessment  of its operations to identify any remaining plastic usage throughout its global supply chain, including its logistics process. This report identified two areas that require further innovation and new thinking to reduce or eliminate plastic, these two established the foundations of the Corona Plastic-Free Challenges. Reinforcing our commitment to finding sustainable technologies to protect nature, Corona will offer 100,000 USD per startup to build and scale innovative solutions for plastics reduction through AB InBev’s 100+ Accelerator

Challenges:

• Replacements or alternatives for plastic liners in bottle caps.
• Improvements to palletization that removes plastic stretch film, while maintaining transportation quality.

Award:

• Corona will offer 100,000 USD per startup to build and scale innovative solutions for plastics reduction through AB InBev’s 100+ Accelerator.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The 100+ Accelerator challenges were developed with input from subject matter experts and partner companies to ensure both global and local issues are addressed.
