Applications Invited for ISTAT Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Grant Program 2020

About the Organization:

The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation (ISTAT Foundation) was founded in 1994 to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism. Funding for programs is provided by annual grants from ISTAT and contributions from individuals and companies. The ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees, a separate entity from the ISTAT Board of Directors, manages fundraising and programming that meets the Foundation's objectives.

COVID-19 Relief Grant

The ISTAT Foundation’s mission is to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism.  The COVID-19 pandemic has, and will continue to have, massive implications for the travel, tourism and aviation industry.  Therefore, in addition to the Foundation’s 2020 planned annual giving through its Scholarship, Internships, Education, Grants and Humanitarian Programs, ISTAT, by way of the Foundation, has committed an additional US$500,000 for the purpose of global COVID-19 relief

The Foundation is seeking applications from established, registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations worldwide that are directly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, have an aviation connection and a strong financial need.  Priority will be given to organizations that are providing support to regions that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 virus but may have limited indigenous sources of funding such as in Africa, Asia and South America. 

Organizations that have applied for support from the Grants or Humanitarian Aid Programs are welcome to apply for the COVID-19 Relief Grant.  This will not impact your organization’s current application for funding from the Grants or Humanitarian Aid Programs.  Applicants will be notified on the status of their application no more than two weeks after the application has been submitted.  Please note that applicants may be subject to further review upon request from the COVID-19 Relief Grant Subcommittee.  COVID-19 Relief Grants will be awarded until the budgeted funds have been depleted; therefore, it is encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible. 

Grant Eligibility

• The Foundation is seeking applications from established, registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations worldwide that are directly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, have an aviation connection and a strong financial need. 
• Applicants are able to apply for a minimum of US$25,000 and a maximum of US$100,000. 
• Priority will be given to organizations that are providing support to regions that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 virus but may have limited indigenous sources of funding such as Africa, Asia and South America.

Application Timeline

• Applicants will be notified on the status of their application no more than two weeks after the application has been submitted.  Applicants may be subject to further review upon request from the ISTAT Foundation COVID-19 Relief Grant Subcommittee. COVID-19 Relief Grants will be awarded until the budgeted funds have been depleted; therefore, it is encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible.
