About the Organization

Together Women Rise is a powerful community of women and allies dedicated to achieving global gender equality. We have hundreds of local chapters across the U.S. where members learn about and advocate for gender equality issues, give grants to organizations that empower women and girls in low-income countries, and build community to forge meaningful connections that increase our strength and collective impact.

About the Grant

Together Women Rise is an educational giving circle: Our members meet monthly, learn about our featured and sustained grantees, and donate to Together Women Rise, allowing us collectively to support grassroots international organizations empowering women and girls living in extreme poverty. We fund projects that foster good health, education, and economic self-sufficiency in developing countries. We are devoted to educating and inspiring individuals to make a difference and fight global poverty through the power of collective giving.

Together Women Rise selects a featured grantee each month and promotes it throughout the month at chapter meetings, through mailings, social media and online communications. Grantees are assigned to be featured in a specific month based on issue area and geography.

Together Women Rise makes grants of $35,000-50,000 that may be disbursed in one distribution or which may be taken in up to two equal distributions spanning a period of two years.

Ensure you have copies of the following supplemental documents: project budget, the two most recent IRS form 990 (we do not accept 990-Ns or 990-PFs), and IRS 501(c)3 determination letter. All multi-page documents must be submitted as a single file.

Submit a Letter of Intent (online application below) from April 1st-24th for the April Cycle and October 1 -24th for the October Cycle. Online applications close at 11:45pm EST on the last day for both cycles.
