EOI Invited to Collaborate with WLF on Local & Unique Traditional Practices in Pandal Cultivation

About the Organization:

Water and Livelihoods Foundation (WLF) is a development organization with a vision of striving towards a water-secured society. Developing technological innovations; skill building and experimental studies are the three focus areas of work of WLF.

The YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEBSofVdH23NLGq34vYmPVw?view_as=subscriber reflects some of the knowledge products of WLF.

Description:

WLF recently initiated a study on ‘unique traditional practices’ associated with vegetable cultivation in trellis (pandals). This is a multi-location study across India. WLF invites collaboration proposals from local NGOs / CBOs / individuals / farmers cooperatives, who would like to study and document the uniqueness and merits of the traditional pandal cultivation practice in their region / area of operation. The work involves collection of data from a small sample of 10-15 farmers as well as visual documentation of ‘unique features’ of the practice, over a short period of one month.

The EoI may be sent to WLF on wlfoundation@outlook.com along with four photographs (HD resolution). These photographs themselves shall speak of the uniqueness of the local traditional pandal cultivation practice. No writeup, profile or narrative proposal is expected at this stage. The covering e-mail shall contain the name, address, contact person, phone / e-mail, website details of the org / person applying.

Also, the covering e-mail shall include location details (farmer name, village, block, district, State etc.) of each of the four photographs. The photographs shall be numbered from 1 to 4 and attached directly to the mail. Uploading them through OneDrive or Google Drive or any other file-sharing platforms is not encouraged.

EoI may be sent from any State / UT of India. The short-listing and selection will be done based on the ‘uniqueness of the local traditional practice’ reflected in the photographs. WLF provides financial support, necessary skills and hand-holding to the selected individuals / NGOs towards carrying out this study.

Last date for receiving the EoI on the e-mail: wlfoundation@outlook.com is 15th July 2020.
