Purpose of the EOI

Through this EOI note, CSRBOX wishes to invite EOIs from mid-size to large non-profit organizations who are working on health and nutrition projects in the state of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Telangana.

Project background

CSRBOX is engaged with corporate in the states mentioned above that have shown interest to undertake community-based health and nutrition project.

The core component of the project would be community-based initiatives to address maternal-child health and nutritional issues with objectives to strengthen the existing public health system, reduce incidences of malnutrition among children 0-5 years of age, and community empowerment.

The larger goal of the project is to improve the nutritional status of the target population. The project interventions will cover the primary beneficiaries; pregnant women, lactating mothers, children till 5 years of age and adolescent girls and secondary beneficiaries will include men, secondary caregivers, PRIs, SHGs, key influencers, etc. The project interventions would revolve around providing services deliveries to pregnant and lactating women, home-based management of malnutrition among children, community engagement on health and nutritional issues, working with community health volunteers and awareness generation activities in the community.

Scope of work/deliverables:

The implementation agency would be responsible for:

• Implementation: The agency would be responsible for implementing end-to-end project activities on the field; such as conducting baseline survey, identification of community health volunteers, stakeholder mapping, supervising routine activities, etc
• Manpower: The agency would be responsible for deporting manpower to execute all the project interventions, assign a specific project coordinator for managing and supervising all project activities in the target geography
• Training and liaising: The agency would facilitate monthly training of the community key stakeholders, fortnightly training of community health volunteers. The agency would also liaise with local government and public health system for the smooth functioning of the project
• Documentation: The agency would be responsible for documenting and maintaining project records and case stories and share monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual report on KPIs
• Resource creation: The agency would co-create IEC and awareness session content, posters, banners, etc for beneficiary and community meetings

Who can apply:

• The non-profits which are working in health and nutrition domain only
• Non-Profit Organisations with valid 12 A & 80 G certificates
• NGOs with 3 years track record in implementing high-impact nutrition and health projects
• Must have an operating NGO office, field office academy, or set-up with minimum 1-year operations in Gujarat
