CLEAN NOIDA

HCL Foundation, under the aegis of its flagship programme Clean Noida, embarked on an ambitious journey in 2018 to improve and strengthen the process of solid waste management in the geographic boundaries of Noida Authority. Clean Noida program intends to carry out works and services to implement effective solid waste management in Noida city. This initiative aims to transform the city into a litter and waste free region, covering all Residential Welfare Associations and Urban Villages. The major focus areas of the project are capacity building of relevant stakeholders, awareness creation, intensive behavior change and deployment of technological solutions. For more details, please visit our website - https://www.cleannoida.org/

Background
Under Clean NOIDA programme, Urban Village Waste Management project was initiated in 2018. It entailed demonstrating sustainable Solid Waste Management (SWM) models in urban villages. NOIDA consists of 64 such villages, which have new infrastructure in terms of roads, community halls, schools, toilets, water supply etc., but they take a rear seat when it comes to municipal SWM. Therefore, the need for vital handholding support was observed in creating certain sects of SWM model villages. Under the ambit of Clean Noida programme, HCLF aims to transform 3 urban villages; Raipur Khadar (Sector 126), Bhaktawarpur (Sector 127) and Asgarpur (Sector 128) into zero waste model urban villages.

Zero Waste Urban Village Waste Management project is entering its new phase of implementation and is seeking to engage the services of a partner to develop end-to-end zero models that can be used to mitigate the challenges faced and the project’s successes in reducing urban solid waste.

Scope of Work
The proposed scope of work is captured below. The selected partner will work with the HCL Foundation to implement regular end-to-end SLWM operation activities at Raipur Khadar (Sector 126), Bhaktawarpur (Sector 127) and Asgarpur (Sector 128) Urban Villages of Noida on the below key objectives but not limited to:
