Inviting EOIs from Non-Profits Organizations for EkNaam Campaign

Inviting EOIs from Non-Profits Organizations for EkNaam Campaign

Organization: Apollo Tyres Foundation

Apply By: 09 Dec 2020

The involvement of women in the workforce empowers the women and the community. In India, the participation of women in the labour market is extremely low with the total workforce participation rate of women being 25.5% (Census 2011). Women are deterred from entering the workforce because of the lack of economic incentive, access to opportunity, patriarchal system and an encouraging ecosystem.

Ek Naam Campaign

To encourage the participation of the women in the workforce, Apollo Tyres initiated the EK Naam Campaign in 2019. As the name suggests, the campaign celebrates the success of 08 women achievers, who are the Change Agents selected on the criteria of their intervention in the community by way of providing further livelihood opportunities to more women or by bringing social change in their community. It will be our third Edition of the EkNaam Campaign.

This year theme for International Women’s Day is #ChoosetoChallenge- This year's theme is based on women who decided to challenge societal norms, came out from their own fears and venture out in the male-dominated society and helped in bringing a change in the society in their own small ways.

Under this campaign, 08 women achievers will be identified based on predefined selection criteria. Based on the criteria 08 success stories will be finalised and demonstrated on various social media platforms; followed by a virtual award ceremony in March 2021 to observe International Women’s Day.

Social Media Campaign

There are 8 weeks from January to February, and each week one story of a beneficiary will be showcased with her journey till now, and how it has made a significant impact in the community giving her name and identity. This links to the theme of the campaign #EkNaam…

Virtual Award Ceremony

At the end of 8 weeks, on the 4th or 5th of March 2021, an event will be held virtually, where all 8 beneficiaries will participate and share their learning and experiences. The format of the event will be for about 2 hours including the award ceremony, beneficiary interaction and panel discussion.

AIM of the campaign:

Ek Naam 2021 is to identify, acknowledge, encourage, inspire and felicitate the outstanding leadership and achievements exhibited by women through various interventions and innovations.

ILC and CSRBOX have partnered with ATF for outreach and process partners for selecting the women who are bringing the change in the society and who have out performed themselves in the various fields.

Apollo Tyers’ Livelihood Initiative

The organisation has initiated a programme, Navya, to support the livelihood needs of underprivileged rural women by providing them income generation opportunities at their doorsteps.

Women are trained in agriculture and non-agriculture activities for income generation. Various capacity building sessions are being taken up to build the core strength of the beneficiaries. Trained women are further linked with financial institutions for credit support to start their enterprise and market linkages are also established to promote the business of the women.
