About Us

CSRBOX is India’s largest social impact platform (online and offline services) working with businesses, CSR foundations, non-profits, the UN agencies and innovators to create collaborative ecosystem for solving grass-root social problems. CSRBOX follows process, project and platform-based models for amplification of social sector programs. In this context, we have set up platforms like India Livelihoods Collective, IMPAct4Nutrition (with other partners), Project Aalamban and YuvaBox for sustained efforts towards solving a few of India’s critical challenges.

The Project Aalamban and YuvaBox

CSRBOX has set-up a platform to connect migrant workers and skilled-youth or unskilled youth with market opportunities in jobs, gig platforms, entrepreneurship, micro-enterprise support, government schemes and other avenues to help them get livelihoods. While both the platforms leverage technology to bridge the gaps in the livelihood ecosystem, we have been able to get support from a few business houses and philanthropic groups to reach out to the last mile to communities and youths who are exploring livelihood avenues but are not able to get right and timely information. The target groups of the initiatives are two folds:

• Skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled youths in the age group of 18-27 years
• Migrant workers who have lost their livelihood due to COVID19 and are now exploring some avenues in their native place or outside their native place

Through the Project Aalamban and YuvaBox, we follow simple skill and interest-mapping approach to provide jobs or livelihoods-based support by connecting the youths and migrants with relevant organization and hand-holding the process phase for them. This process is entirely demand and supply driven where our technology and expertise helps in right mapping and connecting the candidates with desired opportunities or livelihood option. 

The Expression of Interest

CSRBOX believes that grassroot organizations play a vital role in connecting with local youths and workers (who have reverse migrated) from the local communities. CSRBOX has been working on a very simple outreach communication package to connect with youths and migrant workers. This expression of interest is for organization which can undertake outreach to local communities in rural, peri-urban and urban slums and low-income group areas to educate them about various avenues of jobs, gig economy and livelihoods opportunities available for them in their area or in their vicinity. 

This outreach and engagement will be combination of many localized initiatives, a few of which are enlisted below, but not limited to:

• Understand the project objective, processes and plan from CSRBOX/YuvaBox team
• Translate standard communication package (not more than 4-5 pages and 15-20 slides) in regional/local language which can be easily understood by local communities
• Host periodic local outreach camps (2-3 hrs) in different local colonies, peri-urban villages etc. and create awareness among youths and communities on emerging livelihoods avenues
• Create localized community social media chat groups and proliferate relevant opportunities coming from the Project Aalamban and YuvaBox teams 
• Connect with local youth groups, youth volunteering groups and demonstrate them technology platform 
• Create local social media content like short videos (2-3 min, using simple mobile phone) on opportunities and share among the network 
• Host career talks and orientation sessions with youths virtual or on-site to mentor and guide them on various career prospect

What we are looking for

• An NGO/Youth Volunteering Group/Social Business or any enterprise with strong local connect and presence in one or more of the locations mentioned in this document
• A young and enthusiastic team which believes in networking and providing opportunities to youths
• An academic institute with an enthusiastic team to connect with local communities and youths 
• An organization with passion for social sector and proactive work-culture to deliver on commitments with timeline and milestones
• A flavor for youth work, career and livelihood related work, interest in skill development 
• Active team that uses social media, audio-video communication for community-connect and repo building
