About CSBC

Founded in 2017, the Centre for Social and Behaviour Change (CSBC), Ashoka University – India’s leading liberal arts university – is funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). The vision of CSBC is to establish itself as an India-based institution globally reputed for thought leadership and excellence in impactful behaviour change interventions for low-income and marginalized populations. The Centre is focused on bringing new capabilities, such as behavioural science, design thinking, advanced data analytics and responsive feedback to governments, practitioners and donors to help better design and optimize behaviour change interventions. The Centre works closely with central and state governments, as well as other stakeholders, in the areas of nutrition, sanitation, maternal and newborn care, financial inclusion, data privacy and agriculture.

Scope of Work:

CSBC is seeking to hire a social media agency to help increase CSBC’s visibility on social media fronts, including Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook etc.

Specifically, the agency will be expected to undertake the following:

Enhance CSBC's visibility on social media




  • Increased visibility of ongoing projects through innovative campaigns in a manner that aligns with CSBC’s brand.
  • Management,    maintenance/upkeep and improvement of the CSBC’s social media     accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

1.Management of comments, messages and tags on all our            digital platforms according to industry best practices.

2.Creating platform-specific social media strategies for establishing thought leadership on LinkedIn & Twitter while a visually and engagement-driven strategy on IG.

3.Increase the number of followers of all CSBC’s digital platforms as well as the number of likes, visits, shares, downloads, engagement.

4.Implementation of campaign boosts and other    promotions on our digital platforms.

  • Use social media to gain visibility and credibility among organisations doing similar work. Additionally, reaching out to the niche population of behavioural scientists/those interested in this topic.
  • Setting templates/standards for repetitive visuals and communications such as webinars, talks, newspaper articles.

1.Content writing and layout preparation for all social media marketing campaigns of CSBC, inclusive of e-news, and special campaigns, as needed.

2.Creating a systematic manner of dissemination of content.

3.Creating topical campaigns for relevant days

  • Preparation of campaign, monthly and end-of-contract reports and analytics on all of the managed platforms and submit data collected from various social media marketing activities conducted.
  • Evaluation of current and emerging social media marketing trends and technologies and provide leadership and perspective to adapt these in CSBC’s campaigns and platforms.

The above layout is suggestive, not prescriptive. We look towards the agency to guide us on how best to compartmentalize the information we have and present it in a manner that adheres to our brand guidelines and enhances CSBC’s visibility on social media platforms.

Hiring Timeline

  • CSBC will be accepting and evaluating RFPs till the end of October 2021.
  • Based on this ToR, the agency will provide CSBC with a detailed techno-financial proposal with prototypes, including anything beyond the components and features included here that the agency deems worth including.
  • It should also include a preliminary strategy on how to increase CSBC’s social media presence.
  • If agreed upon, the hired agency will participate in a debriefing session with CSBC to understand the overall project and expectations
  • Based on the debriefing session and this TOR, the agency will prepare and provide CSBC with a work plan with timelines
  • Upon finalization of the work plan, the agency will develop:
  • a social media strategy in line with the overall branding of the organisation adapting it to the different components outlined in the “deliverables” section
  • CSBC will adjust the concept and provide feedback
  • CSBC will also provide the content to go under each of the sections mentioned in the “deliverables” section
  • CSBC will provide the final approval


  • A reputable agency with over five years of prior experience designing visually appealing and navigation-friendly social media collaterals
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading and managing social media for a variety of clients.
  • Experience in    setting up and  optimising online campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital            campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Solid knowledge of social media analytics tools
  • Demonstrate the ability to create an innovative and visually appealing design
  • Agency should be able to provide a package of services that adhere to CSBC’s branding guidelines and set objectives and in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Agency shall commit to being in constant coordination and consultation with CSBC in the course of the delivery of service.
