About the Organization:

GiftAbled Foundation was formed in 2013 as a Public Charitable Trust working in areas of Education, Health, and Skilling for people with disability. It is a thought that they all can live with dignity and earn our respectable livelihood. People with Disability may not fit into typical societal norms or silos due to their physical limitation. However, that should not be considered a reason to portray them fit only for charity. They can and will contribute towards building a just, sensitive, and healthy society.

Description:

Early intervention is intended for infants and toddlers who have developmental delay or disability. Eligibility is determined by evaluating the child from birth through the six (and sometimes beyond) (with parents’ consent) to see if the little one does, in fact, have a delay in development or a disability. Sometimes it is known from the moment a child is born that early intervention services will be essential in helping the child grow and develop. Often this is so for children who are diagnosed at birth with a specific condition or who experience significant prematurity, exceptionally low birth weight, illness, or surgery soon after being born. While, some children have a relatively routine entry into the world, but may develop more slowly than others, experience setbacks, or develop in ways that seem vastly different from other children.

• To sustain the community ecosystem
•  Capacity building of NGOs
•  To empower parents of Early intervention
•  Rehabilitating children with developmental delay as per the needs
•  Readiness of children to preprimary school

Criteria:

Applicants fulfilling the following criteria can apply:

• Registered with PWDs Act, National Trust Act, FCRA (optional) and must have 5 years of working experience in Community Based Rehabilitation and a minimum of 3 yrs experience in Early Intervention and Early Education (optional) program
• Should have Child Protection and Vishaka Policy along with HR Policy
• Must have qualified human resource to implement the program as RCI holder or rehab professionals
• Strong network with the community and state govt stakeholders.
• The implementing partner should have a prominent presence and work experience in the areas of operation
• Submit two reports of successfully completed work in last 3 year as an implementer
• Have adequate infrastructure (therapy & classrooms), equipment’s and Proper accessibility
• Have good communication infrastructure in place (internet, email).

Timeline of the Project.

• The project shall be implemented for duration of 06 months (Oct-20 to March-21) from the date of signing the agreement.

Guidelines for submission of the proposal.

• These guidelines shall ensure uniformity of proposals submitted by all applicants and transparency of the evaluation process.

Steps to apply for funding for the project

• Step 1: A detailed need assessment study of children with early intervention and early education needs along with their communities.
• Step 2: Based on the need assessment, create a detailed program strategy implementation plan for this project.
• Step 3: On-ground implementation of the project engaging the target beneficiaries and the relevant Stakeholder as and when required. Submission of Monthly Progress Report to GiftAbled and other project details as and when required.
• Step 4: After1 year of the completion of the program, an Impact assessment will be conducted to review the impact of this program on the lives of the children and their families and its efficacy in mitigating disability in the implementation area. This report is to be submitted to the GiftAbled official as per timelines
